Basrah Engineering Technical College, in collaboration with the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Club, organised an introductory workshop on the National University Championship for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications. This initiative was conducted within the framework of the College’s commitment to supporting scientific and technological activities, as well as enhancing students’ competencies in the fields of innovation and modern technology.

It further outlined the mechanisms for participation and the requirements for competing teams, thereby contributing to the effective preparation of students for engagement in this prestigious scientific competition at the level of Iraqi universities.

The workshop was delivered by Dr Haider Yaqoub, Coordinator of the Southern Technical University for the Championship and Director of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Club. He addressed the significance of robotics and artificial intelligence applications in advancing engineering solutions and keeping pace with global technological developments. He also encouraged students to participate actively and to further develop their capabilities within this vital and rapidly evolving field.
