Basra engineering technical college organized a solemn moment of silence to honor the memory of all Iraqi martyrs and the victims of genocide, in observance of the National Day of Remembrance for the Yazidis and other Iraqi communities. This event coincided with the annual anniversary of the genocide against the Yazidis and other groups in Iraq.
The ceremony was conducted under the supervision and presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Nawras Jameel Jasem, and was attended by faculty members and staff. Participants collectively condemned the genocide and paid tribute to the martyrs whose sacrifices have sanctified the soil of the homeland.
Through this commemoration, the College reaffirms its commitment to honoring the memory of the fallen, promoting awareness of historical injustices, and upholding the values of human dignity, tolerance, and solidarity.
