Basra Engineering Technical College – Basrah witnessed the defense of a Master’s thesis entitled “Design and Control of a Flexible Robotic Arm that Mimics Human Arm Movements” by the student Duha Abdul Ameer Abdulraouf Hammoud, within the Master of Science Program in Electrical Engineering Technologies, on Monday, March 9, 2026.

🎓 Attendance
The defense was attended by the President of the Southern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, and the Dean of the Engineering Technical College – Basrah, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nawras Jameel Jasem, in addition to a number of faculty members and students.
🧪 Outcome of the Defense
Following an extensive and in-depth scientific discussion of the thesis, including its results and proposed contributions in the field of robotic arm design and control, the committee approved the thesis and awarded the student the Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Techniques with the grade of Very Good
