The Dean of Basra engineering technical colleges , Assistant Professor Dr. Nawras Jameel Jasem, graciously welcomed in his office a distinguished delegation from the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate – Basra Branch, headed by the Syndicate President, Engineer Karrar Al-Abbadi.
The deliberations centered on consolidating frameworks of joint cooperation in a number of strategic domains, including:
•Academic and scientific collaboration,
•The development of student graduation projects designed to provide practical solutions to challenges confronting technical and industrial enterprises,
•The incorporation of emerging technologies, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence,
•The qualification and professional training of students and graduates across diverse engineering fields, and
•The establishment of joint committees tasked with preparing highly competent cadres to meet the evolving needs of the labor market, in coordination with the concerned institutions.
On this occasion, Dr.Jasem reaffirmed the paramount importance of institutionalizing effective mechanisms of cooperation as a means to:
•Advance the principles of sustainable development,
•Broaden engagement with multiple sectors of the labor market,
•Elevate the College’s academic and scientific stature, and
•Remain aligned with contemporary scientific and technological advancements, thereby ensuring their constructive impact on students and graduates alike.
