In an effort to enhance collaborative initiatives between the Basra Engineering Technical College, Basra Gas Company, and Basra Oil Company, a formal meeting was convened at the college with representatives from both companies.
The meeting, which focused on the outcomes of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Pollution Techniques , was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Layla balasem hashem, and attended by:
•Dr. Diyah Kamel Shari, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies
•The Scientific Committee of the Environmental Engineering and Pollution Techniques Department
Key Discussion Points:
•Curriculum Modernization: Updating academic programs to align with the companies’ needs, incorporating modern technologies in both theoretical and practical learning.
•Workshops & Seminars: Organizing joint sessions to promote collaboration and knowledge sharing.
•Research Teams: Establishing collaborative research groups focusing on innovative projects.
•Summer Training: Emphasizing the importance of internships and practical training for students.
Future Cooperation:
The meeting also explored the possibility of a joint scientific cooperation agreement with Basra Oil Company and Basra Gas Company. This would aim to activate collaborative research initiatives and development projects between the college and the companies.
