Basra Engineering Technical College organized a workshop titled “Utilizing Reliable Environmental and Climate Resources for Developing Graduation Projects” in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center at the Southern Technical University. The workshop was presented by the Director of the Center, Dr. Maher Talib Abdul-Zahra, and Engineer Fatima Zaki Saadoun, with the attendance of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Layla balasem hashem, and the teaching staff.
The workshop discussed the available electronic resources that contain climate data and reports, which can be utilized in graduation projects across various disciplines. These resources include maps, tables, and illustrative charts that depict the current and future state of the environment, aimed at developing innovative solutions to local challenges.
Additionally, the workshop addressed the concept of artificial photosynthesis and how it can be applied in a project to manufacture a high-efficiency, cost-effective nanomaterial (photocatalyst) for use in renewable energy generation.
