The Women’s Affairs Unit at Basra Engineering Technical concluded the sustainable role of women in leading and serving the community in cooperation with the Southern Region Businesswomen Association, presented by the President of the Association, Mrs. Wafika Abdul Hussein Al-Momen, and under the supervision and presence of the College’s Dean , Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Balasem Hashem, and the members of the college, which lasted five days.
The themes of the course included the sustainable role of women in leading and serving society in the economic, social, and cultural fields, as well as the concept and elements of leadership qualities, the role of women in the labour market, international models for the role of women in building society, and discussion sessions on women’s empowerment.
The Dean of the College expressed her thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Southern Region Business Women’s Association for presenting the course, stressing the continuation of work in development and giving women a great role in leadership and providing service to the community.
