About the Department
Vision
The Department should be a special model of higher education in the field of energy and fuel production through an excellent educational and innovative process that will promote education and scientific research by adopting international quality standards.
Mission
Providing innovative education, produce creative researches that serve the community and contribute in building the culture of knowledge by creating a stimulating environment for learning and development, optimal employment for the graduate and interaction with the local and global environment.
Objectives
Ten main objectives were identified, reflecting the issues that emerged from the studies of the diagnosis of reality and comparisons. These objectives are:
1- Preparing engineers specialized in the fields of fuel production and finding new sources of energy.
2- Provide services for our graduates and interactions with the working market.
3- Finding new ways to produce fuel and energy that is environmentally friendly and low cost.
4- Design equipment and units for the production of fuel and energy.
5- execution researches and applied studies related to energy production.
6- Supporting governmental and private institutions with training, development and consultation.
7- Communicate with the community and know its energy needs through field studies.
8- Attracting and retaining distinguished lecturers.
9- Build effective partnership with the college departments and outside the college.
10- Complete the administrative system of the department.
Characterization of the graduate work
1- dealing with all forms of fuel and energy technologies, in terms of fuel production, transportation, distribution and use of energy.
2- Contributing in the preparation of engineering designs for equipment and devices used in the production of fuel and alternative energy.
3- Maintenance of equipment and devices used in the production and storage of fuel and energy.
4- operating and control of machines and equipment for the generation of energy from various sources.
5- execution research and development studies that related to the production, management and storage of fuel and energy.
6- find the appropriate types of fuel and to choose the precise and correct technological methods to determine the required specifications.
