Basra Engineering Technical College , conducted a workshop on programmatic and institutional accreditation in the college, presented by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Laila Balasim Hashem, and in the presence of the heads of departments in the college.
The workshop concluded that programmatic and institutional accreditation is a process of evaluating and verifying the quality of education provided by an educational institution or a specific study program, as institutional accreditation refers to a comprehensive evaluation of an entire educational institution, to ensure that it meets the standards required for academic, administrative, and infrastructure quality.
The workshop also concluded that program accreditation focuses on evaluating specific study programs, represented by the engineering program, to verify that they meet the required professional and academic standards.
Which aims to improve educational quality and ensure that students receive an education that complies with internationally approved standards.
