Within the framework of mutual cooperation between Basra Engineering Technical College and Basra Oil Training Institute, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq and the Head of Control and Automation Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Issa Ahmed Abd have participated in the activities of the scientific symposium (The importance of writing scientific research papers in the oil and energy sectors). In the presence of the Director of the Institute, Eng. Ali Raheem Fayadh, a number of researchers, and MS and PhDs holders, the symposium was held at Basra Oil Training Institute.
Various topics were discussed during the symposium such as the proper and effective way of writing research papers, research structure and content, top journal indexing databases, mechanisms for detecting fake publishing houses, basic tools and programs supporting research writing, prospects for joint research and scientific cooperation between academic and training institutions, and the joint orientation of applied research that serves the industrial and oil sector.
