The Dean of Basra Engineering Technical College , Assistant Professor Dr. Leila Balasem Hashem, welcomed in her office, the Director of Operation at the General Company for Petrochemical Industries, Chief Engineer, Nazim Muzban Taher.
The two sides discussed aspects of strengthening bilateral coordination in many files of common interest, the activations of the agreement concluded between the Presidency of the Southern Technical University and the General Company for Petrochemical Industries.
The meeting discussed the statement of the company’s need for updates to the curricula and the development of study materials in accordance with the requirements and openness to the labor market, as well as the formation of joint research teams working on solving productivity and industrial problems and the establishment of seminars and workshops aimed at preparing students to the labor market.
The possibility of adopting artificial intelligence in the subjects.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Zia Kamel Shri, the Head of the Department of Chemical Petrochemical Technologies Engineering, Dr. Amjad Ahmed Ali, and the two teaching in the department, Dr. Nawrus Jamil Jasim, and Dr. Akram Awad Mozan.
