Basra Engineering Technical College held a workshop on solid scientific publishing presented by Assistant Professor Rafi Muhammad Qasim, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Laila Balasim Hashem, the teaching staff, the staff of the Scientific Affairs Department, and the official in charge of the Quality Assurance Division at the Presidency of the Southern Technical University.
The workshop concluded that solid publication in solid scientific journals is considered a measure of the scientific value of the researcher. The concepts of solid publishing, solid journals, the conditions of solid publishing, and the reasons for rejecting research in solid journals were fully clarified. The need to distinguish between solid and non-solid magazines, as well as publishing houses, was also emphasized.
Finally, Professor Rafi added that the workshop focused on the need to differentiate between Scopus and Clarvit magazines. In addition to emphasizing the necessity of following the instructions for scientific promotions approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
