In the presence of the Assistant President of Southern Technical University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Alaa Fareed Abdul-Ahad, and the teaching staff of the university, Basra Engineering Technical College hosted a workshop on the importance and the mechanism of implementing the Bologna Process, which is intended to be implemented for first-year students.

The workshop, presented by Dr. Haider Yacoub, Director of the Computer Center at the University Presidency, aims to introduce the higher education system (Bologna Process) and the importance of this system for students and graduates.  The requirements for implementing Bologna Process; how teachers deal with the Bologna Process, how to create a prescribed description of the curricula in a way that is compatible with the above system, managing scheduled and unscheduled hours, how to manage university accounts, formations, and departments included; were all thoroughly explained during the workshop.

The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs gave an overview of the university’s readiness to implement the Process at the technical engineering college. For his part, the Dean of the College affirmed the College’s readiness to implement the Bologna Process in the College and work to achieve its requirements and respond by adopting modern academic systems that keep pace with international systems.
