Under the patronage of the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Ateeq, and the supervision of the Dean of Basra Engineering Technical College , Assistant Professor, Dr. Laila Balasim Hashem, the volunteer work team at the college conducted a periodic afforestation campaign in the college and maintained the gardens.
The agricultural initiative aimed to sustain the college gardens and plant palm trees in various places in the college gardens to take care of the university environment and contribute to reducing global warming, spreading the culture of agriculture, and preserving the environment and climate change.
