The Basra Engineering Technical College held a workshop on “Sustainability and its Concepts,” presented by the Head of the Fuel and Energy Technology Engineering Department, Dr. Rand Abdel Sattar Al-Riahi, to the college’s students, in the presence of the teaching staff.
The workshop included topics on sustainability goals, the role of renewable energy in achieving sustainability, and Iraq’s role in achieving sustainability.
The workshop concluded with recommendations that include using modern technology to reduce waste that harms the environment, adopting reuse and recycling approaches, enhancing the process of environmental education and awareness, and improving social, economic, and cultural life habits with regard to sustainability.
